ZDF ACQUIRES OFF THE FENCE

ZDF Enterprises has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Netherlands-based non-fiction content company Off the Fence B.V. CEO and Founder Ellen Windemuth will stay in office as CEO of the Off the Fence Group.  Established in 1994, Off the Fence is an independent television distribution and production company, specializing in non-fiction programming for the international marketplace, developing, financing, producing and co-producing international non-fiction programs across a range of genres including natural history, science, health, adventure, history and social documentaries. Their catalog includes more than 500 hours of programming produced within the past 10 years and the winning over 80 awards (including nominations for two Emmys).

NIPPON TV TOPS JAPANESE RATINGS

Nippon Television Network Corporation (Nippon TV), the leading commercial broadcaster network and production powerhouse in Japan, has announced that the company has captured the annual viewer ratings Triple Crown title for 2018, topping the charts in the All Day, Golden Time, and Prime Time categories. COLD WAR ESPIONAGE

VANISHING FISH

“An Ocean Mystery: The Missing Catch” that reveals that the world's fish population may be on the verge of collapse. Narrated by actor and conservationist Ted Danson, program  follows Dr. Daniel Pauly and an international team of scientists as they embark on the world’s largest fishing investigation to determine how much fishermen may be overfishing, and just how close we are to a global crash in fish populations.
